This Pure Organic Horse Manure not Mushroom Manure-- where the nutrients already are depleated and spent to grow Mushrooms.
Mushroom manure is not called that to grow Mushrooms-it is called that because it has already been used to grow mushrooms.
We are packaging and selling fresh organic cooled horse manure this year that has the texture of moist peat moss and is low in odor and smells much like the humus soil in our woods here in Western Pennsylvania. It is completely free of any hay, straw or shavings or weed seeds. Our horses are fed top quality timothy hay and are not given chemical wormers but are fed food quality diatomacious earth and fresh ground garlic to keep them free of worms and flys. It is naturally cool because there isn’t anything deteriorating in it like straw or shavings with ammonia to cause heat.
It has been composted over the winter and ready for your Spring Garden and mine. We package it 2 ways. Up to 5 pounds, it is packaged in one pound bags. One 1 pound bag is enough to fertilize one new rose bush or perhaps six medium geranium plants. A 15 pound box is enough for a small garden. It is the best manure to use on vegetable plants that produce a crop for your consumption because it is free of insecticides and chemicals that are in commercial fertilizers. When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
Newspaper keeps weeds away
Start putting in your plants, work the nutrients in your soil.
Wet some newspapers.
Put layers around the plants overlapping as you go,
cover with mulch and forget about weeds.
Weeds will get through some gardening plastic, they will not get through wet newspapers.
Place a dryer sheet in your pocket.
It will keep the mosquitoes away.
Get Rid of Ants
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants.
They eat it, take it 'home', can't digest it so it kills them.
It may take a week or so, especially if it rains,
but it works and you don't have the worry about pets
or small children being harmed!
